Did you ever wonder why they ask James Bond if he prefers his martini shaken or stirred? Supposedly you can bruise the gin....I think it is a bunch of hooey but to avoid a drink snob from calling you out...stir the gin. If someone asks for a martini....it means gin, if they wanted a vodka martini they would have ordered it that way. Gin was the original. It should come with a 1/4 oz of dry vermouth. The glass should be chilled ahead of time by placing ice in the martini glass and filling it with water while you make this classic cocktail. In the next few blogs I will talk about several other myths, hidden gems and maybe a few useless facts.

A client had us pour drinks for their post wedding celebration near Peachtree City. This was a mixology heavy event with four spectacular drinks. Two I came up with and two my client offered to me. Here's a new one but absolutely a crowd pleaser.
Blood Meridian :
2 oz. Bourbon
1/2 oz. blood orange juice
1/2 tsp brown sugar
blood orange bitters
This weekend we bartended several events for a large variety of clients in as many different event locations. We did mixology events, wine tastings, open houses events and this is a regular weekend. Mobile Cocktails ATL can make sure to help you plan your event ensuring it is safe, unique and a huge success. Not only that we have enough people working for us that we can not only provide you a particular look or background but also have the capacity to cover a shift should someone call in sick. We even handled a last minute day of request from a brand new client. To us service is a passion and something we try to excel in at the point of sale...ie handing over a perfectly made cocktail, but also in everything leading up to that and afterwards. We take out the trash, organize and clean up afterwards, pick up plates and napkins, deliver alcohol from time to time and certainly help plan the entire event from the beverage standpoint. A beverage service should can either pour drinks or be a one stop shop for everything beverages ...and more. We choose -and more!
